01 Dec 2017 has been run and won!!
Congratulations to Bruce Henley on winning the 2017 Kumho Tyre Victorian Sports Sedan Championship.
It went down to the wire once again, for the third year in a row it was the last race of the last round that decided who would be champ!. A close second, only 5 points behind was victorious 50k Plate winner Jon Lawson with third place outright to Steven Page who started the year off with a bang winning the first three races at Sandown.
The Island Magic meeting was a mixture of wet and dry races with Jon Lawson in the ‘wet track’ Subaru WRX able to hold out the charging V8’s to take the plate home this year. A great meeting was enjoyed by all, 34 entries is a massive field and thanks to Chas, Warren and Jason for doing the BBQ duties on Sunday in the rain.
There have been 26 Sports Sedan members enter our Championship races this year with some great battles right through the field, check out the Blendline TV footage on You Tube or our facebook page. Here is a link to Round 4 at Phillip Island.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbCpWRcFL34
