The September Club Night has a date and venue change!
We as a club are hitting the road again, this time it’s to FPR.
Ford Performance Racing V8 SuperCar workshop
The date is Wednesday night September 5th.
It’s a 7.00-7.15 arrival for a 7.30 sharp start as it’s a workshop tour that is on offer.
We are quite lucky for this, as this evening is just days prior to the Sandown 500. As its only days from a race meeting the place will be a hive of activity.
Then afterwards it’s off to a local bar just for old time’s sake.
Performance Drive
4 / 40 Glenbarry Road
Campbellfield VIC 3061
is where you will find FPR
Hope to see you there 07 committee

Re: Sunnies for Helpers Fund Raiser
Dear Sir / Madam,
As a member, club and race meeting organizer of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Series, the ASSA Inc. undertook a fundraiser at our recent round of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Series, held at Sandown International Raceway.
All officials involved in the organizing and running of the Race Meeting are volunteers. We were fortunate that they also have an enormous sense of giving for those less fortunate than us.
Our volunteers donated $308, which combined with the ASSA’s commitment to match the donations equates to a total of $616.
I am please to enclose a cheque for $616, payable to Challenge House.
We trust this donation can be put to good use and wish your organization, recipients and carers all the best.
Yours sincerely
Stephen Craig
Hon. Treasurer, ASSA Inc

2003 National ‘rookie of the year’ and Team Australia member on the New Zealand tour of the same summer, Rodney Woods, has been in the USA. Once word was out that Rodney was in town, in fact he was over with Marcos Ambrose, the big names of American Motorsport wanted to grab a chat. Bill Elliott, seen here, was one of the lucky ones to get a ‘happy snap’ with Rodney. Rodney is due back in Australia just in time to help out at the Sports Sedan round of the State Championship, to be ran at Sandown on the weekend of JUNE 14/15.

June Guest Speaker

This month we have a guest speaker from MoTeC coming along to have a chat about all the cool things that their product can offer you as a racer. Even if you don’t use MoTeC, I think that you will find the night to some advantage as track mapping and data reading is all the same in some manner, no matter what tool you use. MoTeC is one if not the biggest player in the field of data logging, dashes and ECU’s in the world, and its Australian made.
Hope to see you all at BELLS HOTEL, Sth Melbourne, JUNE 20th at 8.00pm

National 2003 Rookie of the Year, Rodney Woods has added to his international portfolio.
Following his very successful stint in NZ during the summer of 03/04 racing his Sports Sedan, where he ran in the top ten against the very best TransAm cars NZ had to offer, Rodney has now been seen helping out fellow Aussie Marcos AMBROSE in the USA. Seen here at the latest round of the BUSCH series, we are in no doubt that Rodney had plenty of advice to offer to Marcos. We believe that is just a quick trip to the USA for Rodney, but believe that a return trip maybe needed to keep Marcos on track to win the Rookie award.
