DECEMBER PREZ REPORT

Well here we are, December and the Christmas / New Year festivities are here upon us again.

The 2007 racing session is now over and the State and Club Champions have been decided. Congratulations to everyone that competed this year, because with out you, we would have nothing.

Last month we as a club had our AGM. As I have said before I was not going to stand as President again. Well my wishes have come true. Damion Johnson has slipped back in to the big seat, but this is for ONE YEAR ONLY. We need to have a proper and sensible look at who is the best person to lead this club for the next few years. YOU the members must make this happen, we the committee are open to any thoughts.

Well this is it, after four years of being the front man of the club its time now to hand it over. I have enjoyed the time. It’s been fun at times, hard work at times but most of all its been rewarding. I’ve learnt a lot about people, and myself, and believing in what you believe is right and best for everyone. I have learnt to listen, to take on board and not to be too knee jerky to problems, but at the same time you need to be firm.

I would like to thank Laurie, Anne, Stephen and Damian for being there, for picking up the phone at all hours when I was either having a melt down of some kind, or a crazy idea about where to point the club. I would also like to thank our Life Members who I called upon at times for advice, your info, your knowledge, your passion to the club did not go unnoticed by me. To the other members of my committees over four years, thank you to you too.

The last thing I will do is wish you, your families and friends of Sports Sedans a very safe Christmas and New Year.
